It was 2010. Mikhail, a sophomore, and Stephanie, a freshman, were both students at Buffalo State College. Mikhail first noticed Stephanie at a party and immediately asked her best friend, Lauren, about her. Lauren didn’t hesitate, “You don’t stand a chance,” she told him. Mickey just smiled and said, “Want to bet?” Lauren laughed. “You’re 100% going to lose.” And just like that, their forever story began.
